Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to payments made to EduComp (educomp.in) by institutes for listing subscriptions and related services. Using the EduComp platform to search, compare and send enquiries is free for students and parents, so no refunds apply to them.
1. What you pay for
Institutes pay a flat annual listing fee to list courses on EduComp and receive visitor enquiries. The fee is shown on the payment page before you pay. The listing is valid for 12 months from the date of activation.
2. Cancellation and refund rules
- Within 7 days of activation: If you have not received any student enquiry through the Platform, you may request cancellation and a refund of the listing fee, less payment gateway charges and applicable taxes that cannot be recovered.
- After 7 days of activation, or after any enquiry has been received: The listing fee is non-refundable, because the service has been delivered and your listing is live.
- Mid-term cancellation: You may stop using the service at any time, but fees for the remaining period are not refunded.
- Renewals: A renewal payment may be cancelled and refunded in full if you request it before the renewal term begins.
3. When we refund in full
- You were charged but your listing was not activated, and we are unable to fix this within a reasonable time
- You were charged more than once for the same registration (duplicate payment)
- The Platform was unavailable to the extent that we could not deliver the service for a substantial part of your term
4. When refunds are not given
- Your account is suspended or terminated for breaking our Terms & Conditions, such as false information or misuse
- You changed your mind after the 7-day period
- You did not receive the number of enquiries or admissions you expected, since EduComp does not guarantee any specific result
- Problems caused by incorrect information you entered, such as a wrong email address or phone number
5. How to request a refund
- Email info@educomp.in from your registered login email.
- Use the subject "Refund request", and include your institution name, login email, payment date and transaction reference number.
- Briefly state the reason for the request.
We will review your request and reply within 5 working days.
6. Refund timeline and method
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (card, UPI or bank account used for payment) within 7 to 10 working days after approval. The exact time after that depends on your bank or card issuer.
7. Failed or pending payments
If money was deducted from your account but the payment failed or the listing was not activated, the amount is usually returned automatically by your bank or the payment gateway within 5 to 7 working days. If it is not, email us with your transaction reference and we will help.
8. Referral partner commission
If an institute's payment is refunded, cancelled or charged back, the related partner commission is also cancelled. If the commission has already been paid, it may be adjusted against the partner's future commission.
